Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualification
- Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP):
- Candidates must have passed Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from a recognized institution of NCVT/SCVT in respective trade.
- OR, Diploma in Engineering (relevant discipline) from a recognized institution.
- OR, Degree in Engineering (relevant discipline) from a recognized institution.
- Technicians:
- Candidates must have passed Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from a recognized institution of NCVT/SCVT in respective trade.
- OR, Diploma in Engineering (relevant discipline) from a recognized institution.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
- Age Relaxation: Applicable as per government norms for SC/ST, OBC, PwD, and other categories.
Salary
- Pay Scale: Initial pay of Rs. 19,900 (Level 2 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix) plus other allowances as admissible.
Application Fees
- General/OBC: Rs. 500 (Rs. 400 refundable on appearing in the CBT)
- SC/ST/Female/PwD/Ex-Servicemen: Rs. 250 (fully refundable on appearing in the CBT)
Selection Process
The selection process involves multiple stages to ensure the recruitment of the best candidates:
- First Stage CBT (Computer Based Test): A preliminary test to screen candidates.
- Second Stage CBT: A more detailed test to assess the candidates’ technical knowledge and aptitude.
- Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): Applicable for ALP candidates only.
