Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification
  • Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP):
    • Candidates must have passed Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from a recognized institution of NCVT/SCVT in respective trade.
    • OR, Diploma in Engineering (relevant discipline) from a recognized institution.
    • OR, Degree in Engineering (relevant discipline) from a recognized institution.
  • Technicians:
    • Candidates must have passed Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from a recognized institution of NCVT/SCVT in respective trade.
    • OR, Diploma in Engineering (relevant discipline) from a recognized institution.
Age Limit
  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years
  • Age Relaxation: Applicable as per government norms for SC/ST, OBC, PwD, and other categories.

Salary

  • Pay Scale: Initial pay of Rs. 19,900 (Level 2 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix) plus other allowances as admissible.

Application Fees

  • General/OBC: Rs. 500 (Rs. 400 refundable on appearing in the CBT)
  • SC/ST/Female/PwD/Ex-Servicemen: Rs. 250 (fully refundable on appearing in the CBT)

Selection Process

The selection process involves multiple stages to ensure the recruitment of the best candidates:

  1. First Stage CBT (Computer Based Test): A preliminary test to screen candidates.
  2. Second Stage CBT: A more detailed test to assess the candidates’ technical knowledge and aptitude.
  3. Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): Applicable for ALP candidates only.
  4. Document Verification: Candidates who clear the above stages will be called for document verification.
  5. Medical Examination: Final stage to ensure candidates meet the medical standards required for the post.
