Reliance Jio increases price of prepaid, postpaid plans by 12 per cent, announces new unlimited 5G plans

Reliance­ Jio has declared an increase­ in cost for its prepaid and postpaid plans. This fresh price hike­ is to start from July 3 across every touchpoint and channel. De­spite the increme­nt in the rates, the be­nefits of the plans like call minute­s and data provision, are to stay the same. Following the­ announcement of Jio’s cost increase­, Airtel too has stated it will up the cost of its pre­paid and postpaid plans. This is due to start on July 3 as well.

Here’s a detailed look at the new prices for each plan.

Prepaid Unlimited Plans

–Rs 189 Plan: Previously Rs 155, this plan now costs Rs 189. It includes unlimited voice calls, 2 GB of data, and SMS benefits for 28 days.
–Rs 249 Plan: Earlier Rs 209, this plan now costs Rs 249. It offers 1 GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits for 28 days.
–Rs 299 Plan: Previously Rs 239, this plan now costs Rs 299. It includes 1.5 GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits for 28 days.
–Rs 349 Plan: Earlier Rs 299, this plan now costs Rs 349. It provides 2 GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits for 28 days.
–Rs 399 Plan: Previously Rs 349, this plan now costs Rs 399. It includes 2.5 GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits for 28 days.
–Rs 449 Plan: Earlier Rs 399, this plan now costs Rs 449. It offers 3 GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits for 28 days.

2-Month Plans

–Rs 579 Plan: Previously Rs 479, this plan now costs Rs 579. It includes 1.5 GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits for 56 days.
–Rs 629 Plan: Earlier Rs 533, this plan now costs Rs 629. It offers 2 GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits for 56 days.
3-Month Plans
–Rs 479 Plan: Previously Rs 395, this plan now costs Rs 479. It includes 6 GB of data, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits for 84 days.
–Rs 799 Plan: Earlier Rs 666, this plan now costs Rs 799. It offers 1.5 GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits for 84 days.
–Rs 859 Plan: Previously Rs 719, this plan now costs Rs 859. It includes 2 GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits for 84 days.
–Rs 1199 Plan: Earlier Rs 999, this plan now costs Rs 1199. It offers 3 GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits for 84 days.

Annual Plans

–Rs 1899 Plan: Previously Rs 1559, this plan now costs Rs 1899. It includes 24 GB of data, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits for 336 days.
–Rs 3599 Plan: Earlier Rs 2999, this plan now costs Rs 3599. It offers 2.5 GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits for 365 days.

Data Add-On Plans

–Rs 19 Plan: Previously Rs 15, this plan now costs Rs 19. It offers 1 GB of additional data.
–Rs 29 Plan: Earlier Rs 25, this plan now costs Rs 29. It includes 2 GB of additional data.
–Rs 69 Plan: Previously Rs 61, this plan now costs Rs 69. It offers 6 GB of additional data.
Postpaid Plans
Rs 349 Plan: Previously Rs 299, this plan now costs Rs 349. It includes 30 GB of data per billing cycle.
Rs 449 Plan: Earlier Rs 399, this plan now costs Rs 449. It offers 75 GB of data per billing cycle.
These changes reflect Jio’s revised pricing strategy while maintaining the same service benefits.
Notably, unlimited 5G data will be available on all plans that offer 2GB/day and above. The new plans will be effective from July 3, 2024, and can be accessed through all existing touchpoints and channels.
